  1. Listen, Research. Whose story is this? I start by sitting with the people at the centre of a problem, often before there's a brief, and let their words, not my assumptions, set the direction.
  2. Find the turn, Insight. Where does it break? I look for the moment a person's experience stops working, then follow it outward to the system behind it.
  3. Rewrite the question, Define. What's the real problem? I reframe the brief around what I've heard, so we solve the cause, not the symptom.
  4. Draft endings, Ideate & Prototype. What could happen next? I explore many possible solutions, often with the people themselves, then choose against clear criteria.
  5. Live it, Test. Does it work out there? I test in the real world, in classrooms, streets and communities, and measure what actually changes.
  6. Retell, Deliver. Who carries it forward? I hand the work back to the people it's for, and share what we learned so it can grow beyond me.

A little more about our sarpanch

Hi, I'm Anjana.

I have roots in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala and a childhood in Chennai, so I've always felt at home in different cultures. Off the clock, you'll find me watching Bollywood movies, eating a lot of Asian food, journalling, and planning my next solo travel.
